Busy Week!

Hi all,
It has been a busy week for us. First off, Katie and Tyler got home Monday night. We had a great reunion, along with Tyler's family at the airport. I hugged Katie and didn't let go! We've heard SOME stories, but haven't even scratched the surface yet. Hopefully this weekend we will sit down and see/hear more of the adventures. Also on Monday, Josh started a new job. He had been looking out of state, but this one found him, via a professor of his who recommended him. It is with a start up company and it looks like it will be a great learning opportunity. We are of course thrilled that Mindy and Josh will be close by for at least a while longer. :) Aaron had his first week with students. So far so good. The kids seem nice. He admits it will take a little while to get into the routine again. I understand that, since yesterday was my first day with the students. I have 12 in my Cute Caterpillars class (AM) and 12 in my Bright Butterflies class (PM). Adorable kids AND no criers! YEAH! I came home TIRED though! Whew! Jeff has no sympathy since I have had the summer off. Ha Ha! Brett is also getting used to his schedule of school and football. There is a comfort level as a sophomore (no longer the youngest in the school) so he is doing very well. We celebrated my mom's birthday on Wednesday. It was so great to have the kids together. I included the photo and also one of the Birthday Girl and Dad. My parents leave on Tuesday for their annual trek to Wisconsin. They still love traveling by car and seeing the countryside. We appreciate any prayers for safe travel. Wednesday was also a day for thoughtful remembrance of Jeff's mom Betty. It is hard to believe she has been gone from us for 14 years! At one point in the day I texted Jeff to let him know I was thinking of him. I'm sure he won't mind if I share his response. He said, "Sure wish she was alive to see what nice people our kids have grown up to be." I assured him she does see! But we certainly miss her being here with us and we offer extra prayers for Dad and Arlene.
