Lynette's Shower

Today was Lynette's bridal shower. We had so much fun! I made a slide show of the pics from the day! It was great to meet a lot of her family and friends. Only two more months until the big day! VERY EXCITING!

Boys weekend

My guys are home from their hunting/camping trip. No wild pigs were to be found. Well, actually Jeff and Aaron saw some on the way to Roosevelt Lake Friday morning, but they were not in their unit. Lucky pigs! I drove Brett there on Saturday after he worked so he could hang with the guys. We jammed to Brad Paisley all the way and it was the most amazing scenery with rainbows the whole drive. Truly breathtaking! I did a quick turn around and was home and off to a movie with Anita. We saw WHEN IN ROME. Loved it. I'm a sucker for a corny love story! Plus any movie with Josh Duhamel...

Happy Birthday Aaron!

I wish a very Happy Birthday to my first born. Aaron is 27 today! Hard to believe how fast the time goes. I know that this year will be his best ever as he and Lynette become husband and wife and move toward a new future together. I am so excited for both of them!

Arlene

Well today marks one year since Arlene passed away. Last night as Jeff and I went to bed we talked about her a lot and remembered getting "that call" in the wee hours to hear the news. Time just stands still for awhile. Her memory is still very clear for me and that makes me happy. I can't even count the times during the past year where I would think about something I wanted to tell her and then to realize she wasn't a phone call away. It does work to talk to the person still but you just don't get the pleasure of their response. Talking to Arlene always meant you were going to come away feeling happy. She was always interested in other people and caring about them. She made you feel important. She was just such a good person and loved by so many people especially her kids and grandkids. My thoughts are with them today and I hope they are filled with wonderful memories of the blessings of having her in their life. We miss you Arlene and will hold your memory strongly with love. XO

Mom Anderson

Thinking of Jeff's mom today on what would have been her 88th birthday. As Jeff put it, " She would be proud of my family." Yes, and especially her son, Jeff. I've never seen her as happy and proud as when she watched Jeff's graduation at ASU in December of 1991. He was a father with his 4th child on the way, and yet he had worked and sacrificed for this accomplishment. Betty was so proud of Jeff. And I am too!
