I couldn't be more proud of Brett today! He has worked so hard to achieve his goal for the Honors College and he has succeeded! Yay! What a great day to celebrate his hard work and accomplishments! 3 years old, sweet Cecily Brynn! I wish I could have hugged on you today more than anything, but at least we will get to have fun together in a couple of weeks at DISNEYLAND! Father's Day

What a delightful gift my own dad gave to all his children today on Father's Day. HIS AUTOBIOGRAPHY! Just finished page 50. I have learned new stories as well as reheard tell old favorites! Interesting, Tender, Funny, Noble, Fascinating, Sad, Joyful, Encouraging, Difficult, Life Changing, Faithful and Loving are just some of the emotions. Thank you daddy for this wonderful gift! 27 pages left. I will not be able to sleep until I have finished!

Mother's Day

Mother's Day. So many emotions. Being a mom. Remembering having young children. Now trying to field what it's like to be a mom to adults. Being a daughter. Knowing that I never truly appreciated my own mom like I should have. Trying to make up for lost time. Knowing that for some, that window is closed. Heart breaks. Is there ever REALLY enough time? Trying to do the best I can, while I Have the time. Struggling. I ask Mother Mary to help me.

5 years for Aaron and Lynette!

One day late but 5/1/15 was 5 years for Aaron and Lynette! What a wonderful memory and such great additions to our family too in just 5 years! God is GOOD! We love this sweet little family SO much and wish them so much joy and precious moments through the year! XO!!!

Happy 35 years to us!

So blessed to be married to my precious hubby for 35 years. Truly feels like yesterday. I can remember walking down that aisle, that LONG aisle, and being so overwhelmed and in tears that my dream, was becoming a reality. I am so grateful to God for this wonderful husband and father who is the man of MY dreams. I love you Jeffrey, with all my heart. You are the bestest! XO!

Katie is 27!

6 year anniversary!

Happy 6th Anniversary to Mindy and Josh! Two babies later! I am a little late. We were visiting WITH them in VA on March 7th so I didn't blog and then time got away. So... before March is over, I want to post a few pics and remember the moment these two became husband and wife! What a special day/night! Mindy is 30!

Oh my goodness! Our Melinda Sue is 30 years old! Wow, in many ways it feels like yesterday that I was raising this sweet child in OUR home and now she is a beautiful wife and mom of two precious daughters of her own. I am so very proud of the wonderful person you are Mindy. You are a caring and loving wife and you are a patient, loving and joyful mother to Cecily and Marliese. They are so lucky to have you and I know you feel like you are the lucky one. And you ARE! Dad and I are truly blessed to call you our daughter. We love you so very much precious daughter! XOXO!

Baptism Day

What a special day! Dominic Ignatius had his baptism and it was wonderful. Jeff and I were so excited to be able to add Holy Water from the Jordan River to the baptismal font. After the Deacon poured the Holy Water over Dominic's head, I looked over at Jeff and his eyes were glistening. It was one of those moments that I will remember always. It was so wonderful to have Aaron and Lynette with the two girls right there to witness the moment, along with the godparents, Brett and Cynthia. Brett is so honored to be Dominic's Godfather and I know he will be a wonderful example for his nephew and Godson. Fun day with lots of family from both sides to help celebrate. Joe's BBQ and some yummy cupcakes rounded out the day.

Happy 83rd Birthday to my precious Daddy​! So lucky to have such a wonderful and faithful Patriarch who loves and appreciates the life God has given him. Aaron is 32!

Wow, MY baby is 32. We were at Joe's BBQ tonight for Aaron's birthday and for Mimi and Gramps to meet Dominic. So lots of pics were taken of that first time with a new baby. As we were winding down, I said, "Hey, I need a picture with MY baby!" So here it is.

Nicaea Grace is FOUR!

Today Nicaea Grace turns four years old! She will always be the one who made me a Grammy! I love hanging out with her and her smile is so precious to me. We have our special "things", like playing "mommy and little girl". You guessed it. I am the little girl. :) We started piggy back rides to the car quite a while ago now and I am wondering how long I can hold out. "Look left, look right, and left again." I can't wait for all the adventures she has in store for herself. I just want to be along for the ride. I love you so much Nicaea and I know that God will bless you along the way. XOXO!!!

Belated Happy Anniversary!

Being gone on Dec. 30th, I missed wishing a Happy 2nd Anniversary to Katie and Tyler!!! But better late than never! I scrolled through pics from their wedding and enjoyed reliving all the wonderful moments from their very special day! It seems a little crazy that it was two years ago already.  It feels like a lot of time has passed because a lot has happened and they are now living in WA. And they have added to their family... ZORA! :) I can't wait to see what the future holds for my beautiful daughter and handsome son in law! XOXO Katie and Tyler!!!

Dominic Ignatius

Another blessing arrived today! Dominic Ignatius Anderson was born at 1:29 AM weighing 7 lbs. and 8 oz. 20 inches long. The adventure began (for us anyway;) with a text from Aaron, "Contractions." Got my heart a fluttering! He is less than 22 hours old at this point. It was so fun to be able to witness Nicaea and Siena meeting their baby brother for the first time! He is a loved and adored little guy already! God Bless this sweetie! Fun times ahead! But for me, first sleeeeep needed! ZZZZZZZZZZ!

Marliese Rosemary

Welcome to the world Marliese Rosemary! Born January 11, 2015. 8 lbs. even! What a beautiful little baby girl! I was so blessed to be able to get to Virginia to hold this little one when she was less than 40 hours old. :) That newborn stage. Aww, love it! I spent five wonderful days with Mindy, Josh, Cecily, and Marliese. I am so excited for Cecily to have her baby sister to love on. She is so happy to be a big sis. I can't wait until Bapa gets to meet her too!!! Plans to make!
