R.I.P. Arlene

Arlene is finally restored to health and in the arms of our Lord. She passed in the wee hours today. We are all grateful that Arlene is now pain free. It doesn't seem real yet. I'm not sure when it will really hit. I hope I never forget the sound of her happy "Hi Pam" whenever I called her on the phone. The following is from a stained glass frame that I have kept by my bedside forever. Arlene gave it to me for my high school graduation I think, back in 1977. Words to live by...

"Yesterday is already a dream, and tomorrow is only a vision; but today, well-lived, makes every yesterday a dream of happiness, and every tomorrow a vision of hope."

This picture is very special to us. Arlene with her three brothers. My Jeffy was only two months old. This beautiful young girl went on to have three children who grew to marry and have eleven grandchildren for Arlene to love and adore! No wonder she will be so greatly missed. I ask for your prayers for our entire family during this time. Watch over us Arlene. You will never be more than a happy memory away!
