Yesterday in my preschool class we made patriotic windsocks just as we have done every year since 9/11. My current group of students were 4-5 years away from being born on that date in history. As they walked out the door waving their "flags" I found a sense of peace and hope for the future. I never want to forget the feeling of patriotism and unity we all felt right after 9/11. Currently the dad of the little boy holding the windsock in the photo is stationed in Afghanistan. I am humbled by the men and women serving our country. May God watch over them.
